The Sarasota-Bradenton area has a surprising number of nature preserves and hundreds of miles of beautiful equestrian trails. The Suncoast Equestrian Society organizes a trail ride at a different location each week every Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon. Afterwards, we usually have a bring-your-own picnic lunch.

We have a limited number of horses available for rent. The cost is only $45 per ride. That includes everything: horse, tack, transporting your horse to/from the trail ride, and a safety helmet. Park admission not included.
Our horses are mostly retired polo ponies. We only use English saddles. You may use your own saddle if you prefer. Please wear boots or shoes with heels, not sneakers.
Beginners welcome! If you don't know how to ride or are uncomfortable for any reason whatsoever, we will lead your horse with a lead line.

About Us
Great World Polo is an "inactive" USPA® polo club/school established by Yasmin and Tim Mattox. We've been riding since 1985 and playing polo since 1995. Tim has taught polo at our place in Florida and at Santa Fe Horse Park, in Santa Fe, NM.
Our Florida property is For Sale and, once it does, we plan to move the polo school to Aiken, South Carolina. In the interim, we're offering trail rides to have a little fun, give our horses something to do, and help pay the feed bills.
